Keeping Busy!

The Christmas season proved to be busy this year with several new commissions. I got to try my hand at combining graphite and colored pencil in one drawing ('Lauren Kate" home page). This project turned a little more exciting than usual as my little 18 month old decided to practice HIS colored pencil skills on Lauren's head. Brian and Lisa's drawing came together really fast. I moved them a little closer together and gave Brian a new shirt. Check them out in the photo comparison and gallery. This picture was used as a Christmas Card. I am having a lot of fun with two little girls I am drawing right now. I just completed the first. You can see her ("Rachel") in the photo comparison and gallery. I have completed her sister also and just posted her. The picture is very digital for some reason so the quality isn't the greatest but it gives you the idea. I like her expression. She looks very mischievious! I also recently got to draw a few furry friends. You can find them in the gallery. One other unusual drawing I did recently is the four Forrest Apostolic churches. This was a change of pace from doing people, who are flowing lines and curves. I got my ruler out, found myself doing a lot of measuring and math, and learned something new. This drawing is currently featured in the gallery, but I may remove it due to it's large data size.  Reprints of this particular drawing are available through Fairview Haven, if anyone is interested. Please contact me if you have any questions about it.

My next projects are going to be interesting: a six subject, and three two subjects. Between this, and four little kids, we are crazy at our house! But it's a good crazy!
