Ordering

To commission a drawing, e-mail me a copy of the photo you would like drawn, along with the size and any special requests and I will examine your submission for suitability for drawing and give you a price quote generally within 2 business days.

Next, I will have you mail me your photo reference and depending on my workload, drawing will begin on receiving your material. I require a 50% deposit (invoiced to your e-mail through paypal) to begin working on your project. When I have completed your drawing I will email you a copy to review. You may suggest any changes at this time (sometimes two people can look at a photo and see things a little differently!). When we agree that the drawing is satisfactory, I will invoice you for the remaining amount and upon receipt of payment will mail your completed drawing to the address you provide.

The amount of time required to complete your project will vary depending on several factors including current workload, size of the project, and communication times between the artist and client. In some cases, I can complete a project in fairly short time for an additional fee. In most cases, drawings are given priority depending on the order in which they are received.

Please keep in mind the following photo tips:

-A well-lit clear photo will result in a more detailed drawing

-I recommend the face be at least 1-2 inches tall in the photo you send

-The more the photo resembles the person, the more the drawing will

-If you wish to use a professional photo, you will need to get permission in writing from the photographer and send a copy with your photo

Drawings can be completed on the following surfaces:

Vellum Bristol 9x11 only

Plate finish Bristol---all sizes, graphite drawing only

Mat board---all sizes, colored pencil only

Regular drawing paper---all sizes, colored pencil only

There is a wide array of drawing surfaces and papers available so there are many other possibilities although these may be subject to a materials charge.

All drawings are sprayed with a fixative to protect them from smudging and yellowing prior to mailing.
